I rescued this bike from being scrapped. At first glance it looked horrible, but after sweeping spider webs off, tyre replacement and bearing and electrics overhaul it became clear that it's pretty much all right and rides very well. I used it mainly for commuting; with its one gear, it was too slow for touring. Thick tyres proved successful on battered streets, the low "ladies'" frame made hopping on easy and provided a bit of passive suspension, and the carefully maintained scrappy look deterred thieves. Pushrod-actuated front brake was close to useless, the rear backpedal brake alone is not enough for a quick emergency stop. After cca 7000 km the bottom bracket housing wore off: the pressed-in bearing cups had developed too much play to feel safe. Rest in pieces. Some parts were recycled into another bikes.
