I switched from my ultra-small tarp tent to a whole 3 by 4 metre tarp where I fit comfortably, even with a trike. There are just two downsides: it doesn't like wind and it needs two trees. I bought it right before departure and had to cut the anchoring ropes to size when building it for the first time. Leftovers came handy for laundry.
