One of the options for getting from Prague to eastbound road to Poděbrady is bike route A26, mostly made of safe (although often confusing) cyclepaths. It takes you along subway train tunnel between Rajská zahrada and Černý most stations (pictured), then spits you out at a hard to cross hypermarket area and disappears.
